Outstanding show, and I highly recommend it to any of the readers. There was a ton of excellent tips for getting that job out there, and you guys covered some of the finer points of that process.

The one basic one I tell guys, is to make sure that you name your files correctly and they have your name on it–when sending out resumes. It makes it a little easier for the recruiter to remember who you are, and it helps them out when they are organizing stuff. Especially if they are getting hundreds of resumes a week. Make it easy for them to read your resume, and process the thing.

I really liked the four resume formats tip that you suggested, and that is so true. Keep them things on a thumb drive, and keep them updated.

The other one I tell guys, is hook up the guys you know with job info, who are solid and won’t embarrass you, because one day they might hook you up with a gig. That will help you in your networking big time. Hook a brother! Good stuff. S/F
