Fed Biz Opps: Vectrus Likely To Be Awarded One Year Extension For KBOSSS

A noticed published today on the Federal Business Opportunities website says that US Government is proposing a modification for Vectrus to keep the KBOSSS contract through 8 March 2018, with an evaluated nine-month option of 29 March 2018 through 28 December 2018 and an evaluated three-month option of 29 December 2018 through 28 March 2019.

From the notice:

This notice is a synopsis for a proposed modification to Contract W52P1J-10-C-0062 (Kuwait Base Operation and Security Support Services (K-BOSSS)) that the U.S. Government (USG) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations and the USG will not issue a solicitation for this action.

The 12-month extension is expected to be awarded to Vectrus under FAR 6.302-1 since it is likely that award to any other source would result in (A) substantial duplication of cost to the USG that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and (B) unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Agency’s requirements. The award to Vectrus System Corporation (Vectrus) will satisfy Agency requirements.

The proposed modification will continue critical base operations support and security support services throughout the Kuwait area of responsibility (AOR) including forms, publications, and reproductive services; Army postal operations; operations; logistics; information management; public works; environmental services; medical administrative support; installation services; security services; fire services; and emergency services.
