Textron Aviation Defense Awarded $8.7m for Reconstitution of Aircraft in Iraq

Textron Aviation Defense LLC, Wichita, Kansas, has been awarded an $8,789,035 undefinitized contract action (UCA) for the reconstitution of 15 aircraft in Iraq. This foreign military sales Acquisition Category III program provides the aforementioned the purchase of long-lead supplies required to reconstitute the aircraft for Iraq training.

The work provided for under this UCA must be in place to start training the Iraq T-6A fleet no later than the second quarter of 2018 in order to meet critical F-16 pilot demand in 2019.

Work will be performed at Inman Ali Air Base, Iraq.

This contract involves foreign military sales to Iraq and is the result of a sole-source acquisition.
